will 16v 4ag head gaskit work on 20v?

yes it will fit...but it might be a different thickness...if youre using a 20V bottom end why not use a 20V gasket as well

ok, no need to be rude mate, i dont use computers much! thanks for the help, the reason i am wanting to use 16v head gasket is because they are much cheaper than a 20v one. if they are much the same i dont see why i shouldnt?

First, he isnt rude.
Secondly, it is common courtesy to actually be able to speak properly, especially if you want to be understood.

I thought you would have problems with galleries getting blocked off if you were not careful which gasket you used. Like an old bigport one for example.

they are slightly different in the water galleries.

I can't find any pics of the standard ones, but these are the Toda metal versions:

Notice the differences around Cyl 1 and Cyl 4 on the two gaskets.

It depends on the manufacturer. The TRD ones are stamped for both the 16 and 20vs, since i have bought one of each thinking that they were different and they were exactly the same bar the part numbers.

ahh well, problem solved anyways, got the trd .8mm one today, thanks to everyone for their input!

p.s. if anyone has correct torque specs and sequence for silver top 20v that would help heaps too!

no they are not... they are different......

i have sold many of these and keep them in stock and they are most certainly different and fitting the incorrect one can and does cause problems
