I'd love to be able to assist you but SV21s and 3S engines are not my forte.

how does a 3s-gte in a camry go compared to say a celica (considering there both pretty much same car) i guess it would rought come down to the car's wieght wouldnt it?

and would it be fair to say that the camry wieghs more?
As they say in the book, assembly is the reverse of dismantling, but slower cos you forgot where all the bits are

officially sv21s weight 1170kg mine with everything done after conversion, subs, fuel etc went 1350kg which is still reasonably light for something with 170+ FW kw''s on a basically standard gen3 motor

ran 13.8 sec 1/4mile at 106mph, 2.4 sec 60 foot with stock 195's on the front, stock engine etc low 13's should be possible with a better launch (best on the night of 2.2)

here are a few videos I found that were hosted on the old toymods a long time ago

100km is vertical on the speedo and boost is the digial gauge on the left peaks about 12-13ish. Thats what a stock 3sgte in a sv21 will go like.

I might be able to get my hands on a gen3 3sgte loom and ecu, I can probably get a E153 box as well all in NSW though

Try Andrew Vibert (forum sponsor) for a motor, ecu, loom and box. Should be about $2500 or so for a Gen 2. Half cut from an ST185 surely can be too much more than that. I think prices for ST205 half cuts are around the $8000 mark, not really worth the extra for a few more neddies which can easily be more than made up for with a pair of cams, hi-flo'd turbo etc. Actually i think Andrew has a Gen2 at the moment with a high flo'd turbo for $2200 with ecu and loom. He is in Victoria.

eek my complete-brakes ST205 frontcut was $3800 delivered about 2 years ago with air/ water intercooler etc

I am pretty sure I can get hold of a gen 3 motor ecu and loom for under $3500

Hmm... I think i will have to talk to you more when the time comes for the SA23 to get new muscles. I think that halfcut price was from the SSS automotive website. They may be a bit on the exxy side tho.

I can get pics of whatever but it depends what your concerns are?

the main things that arn't a straight fit are....

passenger side gearbox mount for E153 gbox (use GT4 one)
speedo for E153 box (sv21=mechanical E153=electric) (I swapped the gauge in cluster)
Drive shafts for E153 box to camry splines (V6 camry inners bolted to GT4 outers)
selectors need a small bush for the mounting point (1 hour with a grinder and welder)

Air to water IC core needs bonnet to be massaged with a hammer slightly.

clearance to cluch master is minimal and touches under load hasn't damaged anything in 60000kms has about 12mm clearance to start with but motor strains the rubber mounts just a little under load.

the usual ECU wiring, bigger fuel pump etc mounting water pump for IC....
