Cost me $150 each from supercheap for the slotted ones. The standard ones are abit cheaper I think around $100 each.

Prob shop around and you will find them cheaper. I was just lazy

That is a nice set up John.

I need to find a loaner RX7 caliper to trial on my patrol disc. What you reckon 1JZ-Rolla, do you think it would work?

I figured out how you ended up using those M10 bolts instead of the M12s I thought I was using. I'll PM you.

    Regards

The peugot discs i'm thinking could be suitable also for this upgrade.. Fit easily on the back of the hubs.

Thats what im going to start playing around with once I find some time.

    Twinky, excellent work!
Any chance you could measure the centre of the axle to the outside of the caliper (furtherest measurement from the centreline of the axel) so I can determine whether my rims would fit over the this setup?

Hm, twinky, do you know if this setup will fit under 14" rims? Or is it going to be a PITA and foul on those again?

Im not sure, I will have to measure the distance from the centre of the stub axle to the outside of the caliper when I have sometime.

    I let you know.

If you wanted some I would have to get them made for you this might take a couple weeks as the place is usually busy.

Talking Re: Another ae86 brake conversion (fc rx7)

Have just done this setup on my AE86, and it all fits sweet.

Only problem I have is a clearance issue on the spokes, 15x7.5J +5 offset SSR wheels are very flat on the mounting surface, so with a 7mm spacer clear the calliper by about 1mm.

Currently looking for some different front wheels, otherwise it went very well, BIG thanks to Twinky for the bracket drawings.

Also I think with the right 14'' wheel, this combination would clear the caliper, I have some FWD offset 14'', and they come close.

    Cheers

    Oliver
