Default NO COLD START !? 1JZGTE with Microtech LT12s and X6 igniter.

When the car is cold and turned on, it will not idle unless reved manualy. It tries to idle and sputters before it dies out. It also blows alittle black smoke on idle. After about 10mins the car will idle by itself but at about 800rpm and drop a little. Just wondering why it doesn't idle by itself on cold start. I replaced Sparkplugs (BKR7E) and bought some OEM coil packs.

Has the IAC been connected and tuned with the Microtech?

I wouldn't have a clue, i bought the car with all this happening already. Hes showed me the receipt and the tune cost him $150 so it seemed pretty dodgy to me.

Yeah $150 doesn't get you far with a tune? I'd start with the IAC valve and proper tune.

There is not enough wires on an lt12 to run the 1j idle motor
So either piss it off and fit an ecu with more extras
Or spend a 1000 bucks on a decent tune but make sure u ask the
tuner if he is good enough to get it idling good at cold and hot starts
