If you type in "ta22 lsd" in the search box you should find these 2 threads in the 13+ pages:

Hi all,
I've been searching posts and the web for info on fitting the early AE86 'Zenki' LSD centre into a RA23 Celica. I believe that they fit into a '22 centre but not so sure about a '23?
Thanks
Kev
Yes the old Celica's are great cars thanks..

2T-G - Half the valves but twice the fun.
22 and 23 t series diffs are the same aren't they?
Read o_man's post regarding T292:

Pretty sure the 23 has a T292. Well I may just have to open the wallet and get the LSD then.

I have also decided this rather than mess with diff transplants. Especially in a car of modest powers.
I can confirm the LSD slots into the 23 centre perfectly. Went with brand new 3.73:1 crown and pinion for mine. Don't forget to machine 5mm off the end of each axle.

Is that for Kaaz as well as the TRD ones? I have read that the Kaaz ones go in without a problem.
I have no experience with the Kaaz ones, but suspect that they won't require the machining. Cannot confirm nor deny this though.
Can confirm the TRD ones require machining though.

With TRD / Kaaz no needed to cut. Only with stock LSD !!!!
TRD KAAZ and almost all other aftermarket LSD units are designed to fit, with non lsd and lsd half shafts !!!!
With old used lsd 5mm is not enough, sometimes they still hit the bottom !!! 6mm is the correct amount to cut. TA22 GT with 2TG and factory LSD half shafts are ~6mm shorter.
Have install STOCK, TRD, KAAZ, Tomei lsd units to T series differential.

Where can I find more information about Zenki LSDs? When I type it in Google all I get is links to forums selling second hand items.
Do they have a website?
Zenki LSD's are term used for earlier, small dia axle spline approx. 23mm, T series diffs from Toyota mainly used in pre 1985 AE86 sprinters. Later term is Kouki LSD which has approx. 25mm dia axle spline. Outer housings and internals except axle side gears are same between the two T series LSD's
If you need dimensions or photos of lsd centre let me know I have a used Zenki centre in my shed which I will be in tomorrow.
You can buy upgrade kits for T series, as well as others, from Weir Performance in US. Their prices are reasonable and service is good.
