Could be open or short between igniter circuit to ecu IGT and IGF circuit or the ecu.
Check that there is voltage between igt of ecu and ground when idling. If that's ok check ecu earths, if earths are good then possible ecu.

My car is a 1987 AW11 with JDM 4A-GZE (Levin) swap done way back in '98. Ignition is twin coil distributorless. Harness, ECU from Levin.
Won't idle. Runs well under load, but even then I'll get the occasional stumble and check engine light, which then turns back off. From cold start, it'll idle at about 2000rpm, stumble, throw a check engine light and stall.
Fault code shows 14. Replaced igniter. No change in symptoms.
Ideas?
