You have to try pretty hard to stick a conrod through the block on one of these...
Good luck!

In the next 3 hours there's either going to be a "It was so awesome" post or "There's a conrod sticking out of the block" post.
E85 and 15psi here we come![]()

479RWHP on 50psi and 70psi hasn't broken her at the track!
So... it was awesome. Dialed the timing up a lot once it was on E85, and chucked a boost controller in. We had a bit of a problem getting the boost controller to up the boost with it only getting to around 145kpa (6psi?), so..
yoink
Who needs a wastegate anyway?! (we did have the megasquirt set to cut spark and fuel if it got up to 190kpa so that we wouldn't grenade the engine)
The turbo immediately started pumping out around 170kpa (10psi?) at around 4k rpm, however from then on the ignition system couldn't create a spark no matter how high we set the dwell and if I shifted up then the clutch just slipped... soooooo had to put the boost controller back on and it seems to work quite nicely with around 150kpa (7psi).
Now I just need to work out how to get a Coil on Plug or wasted Spark setup working with my Megasquirt 2 and maybe get a heavier clutch and we'll be on our way!
Just out of interest does the 3tgte clutch fit a 2t flywheel/gearbox?
EDIT: oh yeah and I really should sort out putting a filter on it![]()

my first turbo t series was a 2t with no gate, worst i did was crack a pistion at 30psi HAHA
10 psi at 4000rpm seems so laggy? a t28 should boost up alot quicker
3tgte clutch is larger, same size as a 1ggte series 1
i run a allot 3tg item atm with 1g clutch
i did run a 1g flywheel before that and should have some at home if you need one?

Damnnnnn 30psi. What sort of advance where you running?
It is laggy but I have a really aggressive NA cam on it at the moment which I really don't think is helping, not to mention a 2" exhaust.
if I use a 1g flywheel will I need a w series gearbox? - this is all pissing in the wind as well as I want to get it engineered before I make it faster
no as per my last post (see the link above) i have fitted a 1g flywheel and clutch into a t50 bellhousing.
you will have to get a clutch disc made with a t50 sline on it, as the w series is larger.
somthing around 20 advanced from memory. i can look at the table when i have the laptop connected next and see

id swap the cam out before you do to much more tuning then, other wise you will have to retune again
