Not sure if this helps but would seem to me that it would fit with minimal massaging of the trans tunnel and you'd need a custom gearbox x-member

    Thanks for the link master
Have you done this conversion ? Does the fire wall need modifying? The bell housing looks larger or deeper which I think might hit the firewall.

I've not done it mate. I'm sure there are some 23/28 build threads where this has been done (maybe Sheepers?) and some minor relief of the firewall/trans tunnel was needed, but nothing massive.

All depends on where the engine is mounted; in my case it needed quite a lot of massaging

So cut out the entire firewall and trans tunnel and make and weld in new one?

    Easy as pie.

    Sorry Mmissos for misleading you.

    Kedderz. I'm just sorry.

No need for firewall moving, just notch where the slave cylinder and gear selector are.

Depends on how far back the engine is mounted and the position of the r154.

here's a good link for an R154 into an RA(??) that I've looked at many times.. (putting one in my TA22 sometime)

looks like he got away with minimal beating of metal.. but as said, it depends alot on engine placement.

I have one in my 28, on the back of my 1j.

As kedderz said, it will depend heavily on there your engine is mounted.
basically I needed to "flatten out" the the bumps in the tunnel - the tightest area is where the big square section of the box sits.

I didn't think it was too bad.
There are probably pics in my build thread, but on what page I have no idea.
