Default setting an rt104 for efi

so this has been bugging me for a while now but ive got a corona 104 sedan and im putting a mild 4agte in but this car wasn't setup for efi so I will have to put in a lift pump and surge tank.
BUT there is no return line to the fuel tank and the fuel tank has no provisions for a return line however it has a evap line and breather line.

At this point im open to suggestions but I was thinking rather than have the tank fitted with a return barb I could possibly use a Y join and splice the evaporative line to the breather line in a way the fuel wont be able to backflow into the charcoal canister and then use the available evaporative line barb as the fuel return.

I have some copper pipe I was thinking of using as a fuel line but what can I use to make a barb on that line so the fuel line wont pop off? I don't mean like a flare \ / I mean like a bulb ( )

    Dont do it.
    Add a separate return.
