Yes you are missing a lot... the engine is almost all stock except cams, springs, and wrist pins... nothing exotic.... stock crank, rods, pistons, and block. Carefully ported head.... All of it points to VERY careful accurate machine work... cams are 264 type...
Management... yep it does have different management. But management doesn't make horsepower... By the way on the MR2 engine... you missed quite a bit... aftermarket pistons, and a ported head.... all the details that go into a PROPER build.... I'm not sure what you have against Toyota engines, in particular the 4AGE... but I'm guessing you and your mates didn't know what you were doing.... at least thats the best I can figure since you are the only one telling the OP he is wasting his time.......
Information is POWER... learn the facts!!
Who says they were my matesI was certainly not telling them to do the shit they did that resulted in engine death....!and I love to toyotas/4As. I wouldn't be spending over 10k building a stroker 7A if I didn't. I just have a different opinion of what is a good idea and what is a waste of time than what you do...
And I didn't miss those details on the mr2 engine. Go over my reply again and you will see I mentioned those aspects. I take my time reading tech stuff on 4as because it does genuinely interest me, so please don't be rude just because I disagree with your views
