    different type, different splines at bought ends.

    this can be fit with adapter to youre AE86 bell and use yoke or driveshaft from this car. + transmission crossmember from this car.
    this transmission is also a lot stronger than youre T50
    - Celica TA-22 -74 2T-G Turbo
    - IQ 1.0 -09
    - Lexus IS250 -06

    would i be better off with this box, just make an adapter for the bellhousing

    World is full of different choises and opinions...

    Google W50 adapter or like that.. BRD also sells that years a go.. but its not mine choise number one.

    I swapped an early (pre-1975) T40 rear shifter housing on a late (AE86) 22spline output shaft box.

    You just need to swap the 3 shifting rods and everything else bolts up

    all clean (with late shifter housing next to it )



    Only thing to bare in mind is that the T40 shifter has no lock for reverse so if you pull hard enough going out of 5th you could (very hardly but you could) pop it in reverse although a lot of grinding noise will probably prevent you from doing so
