will a 2007 sr5 lsd fit in a rn85 1993

hey guys. bought a 07 lsd with 3.58 gears yesterday. today noticed couple things different to mine. like the tail shaft flange is different and the pinion seal. did I waste my money or will it fit in the rn85 with couple mods???

Mate, I just checked Toyodiy and the centres are different. Id just put the whole diff housing in. you might get a free brake upgrade with it... judging by your forum name you're 1J'ing a lux?

And the diff swap with leaf sprung rear is quite simple if youre handy with a welder and 5" Grinder.

take the old diff out, measure both diffs to gauge what the centreline is, then just mark the new diff inline with your old diff's mounting saddles. this way you can setup a better pinion angle for better hookup if you like but hey, aint my project.

Swapping the whole axle over gives you bearings that are younger, less kms and better brakes...

just letting you no for future reference they do fit. just need to drill new holes for tail shaft
