Figured i would put this here for the Shannons lad's since the CCG is doing the cooking !

Hi Everyone,

This year Shannons Insurance Canberra are having an Xmas Open Day at our office on Saturday the 7th December and motoring enthusiasts from across the ACT and surrounding regions are all invited!

So please spread the word across your various clubs, friends and family! We would like everyone to come along and check out our club facilities, meet our team and their cars, catch up and have a yarn. So clean up your cars and get ready for one last outing before the Xmas break!

We’ll have the Canberra Celica Group hosting a complimentary sausage sizzle as well as a coffee van on the day to say thanks to all our supporters and customers.

This will not be a car show so you may come and go as you please but we would encourage you to bring along your pride and joy for a last hurrah before the new year!

What: Shannons Insurance Canberra Xmas Open Day
Where: Unit 20, 2 Yallourn St Fyshwick (around behind the united service station off Canberra Avenue)
When: Saturday the 7th December, 9am – 4pm

Phil, love to oblige you with the colour. Just one question what tinters will I need to change the already acquired colour from Toxic Waste Green to your red.

EDIT: Hey wait a minute I still have the red Celica trailer paint left, generally buy enough to paint a whole car. So that takes care of the front half in red, and I am sure I can find the rest of the paint that has been used to recolour the trailer.

So there you have if Phil solid pillar box red for the front and custom mandarin pearl for the rear of the car!

Yep seriously it will be green. Period correct for a '70's Celica. Whole car will be bog stock as per factory build sheet.

Well the CCG represebed by rolling out the Chuckwagon from about 10am to 3pm yesterdy in support of the Shannons open day. I must say that it was a good turnout and Jezz, son Jason, Ryan, Damo and I cooked up at least 100+ snag and onion sangas for the hungry enquirers. Steve, Mel and the Shannons team were putting on a good show talking shop allover the place.

Thanks again Jezz for all the organising on this one too...heres hoping they run another in 6 months time and we can all chip in for support too.

I'm really glad yourself and Ryan could come along was good to catch up while running the BBQ.

Was also a great chance to meet and chat with all the different car owners from around the ACT.
Those old early 1900's car's were amazing and I still can't believe what it takes to drive them!
