    Default 2JZ Injector Q

Real Quicky. I remember reading somewhere that the US 550 Injectors are high impedence and a direct swap for the 1JZ, am I right or am I just making S up in my head?

JDM are 440 low imp and ceramic turbs, US 550 high imp and steel wheeled turbs?

The Purple/mauve 550's US spec injectors are low imp and require the US resistor pack or you can make up one yourself to do the job.
2.9 ohms , and you need 13.8 ohms to run in your 2JZ.

440's are 13.8 ohm high imp
    550s are low

I'm actually looking for some low impedance ones at the moment, thing is doing a bit of web searching seems to show BOTH as being the case - usual web consistancy... It also seems that all the drop-in replacement injectors are high impedance. Can someone clarify impedance from actual experience, not just something they read on a forum someplace?

US 2JZGTE diagrams show a resistor pack, therefore Low Impedance - 1994 Supra apparently

I imported some Sard 550's HKS 550's and Blitz 550's all were low impedance. I sold them all as i didn't want resistors.

P.E make the high imp drop ins as well as Sard, just make sure you get the part numbers correct as Sard make low imp as well.

I can confirm 100% that JDM 2jz 440cc Grey top side feed are High impedance (13.8ohm). I owned a set for a brief period - was going to put them in a 20V 4AG rail - before selling them. I tested them with a multimeter. USDM 2jz I can't personally comment on but the overwhelming evidence on the net seems to say they are Low impedance.

I also own a set of Gen 3 3SGTE injectors - red top side feed 550cc, as fitted to the sw20 MR2 and st205 gt4 and they are low impedance.

Any idea if Aristo injectors are 440cc also? What about VVTi 2JZs?
