Ae95 Corolla 4wd Rear axle Ubgrade

Hey there

I want to ask you if some one of the Ae95 drivers ever had modifided the Rear Axle of an Ae95 to the Ae86 Rear Axle

I am going to turbocharge my Ae95 with a 3sgte from a Gt4 T20 Celica and need some Brakediscs at my rear axle

Do you mean put an AE86 diff in an AE95? If so that sounds like a bad idea since you have all the pain of a diff conversion (changing mounts, changing the stud pattern on the axles) and end up with the same centre with weaker axles, plus not very big or good disc brakes.

If you want a stronger diff swap something else in. If you want disc brakes I'd look for just a brake conversion. Here in Australia ST141 Corona disc brakes bolt up to many T series drum braked diffs. They may also work on AE95s.

Do you "need" rear disk brakes or just "want" them? Upgrade your front ones instead, they do most of the work.

The rear diff ratio must be kept the same in Toyota alltrac vehicles.
So if you can find an AE86 kouki rear axle assembly with rear disc brake set up, you'd still need to remove the AE86 diff and swap in your alltrac diff.

Once that was done, you'd be left with 4 x 100 PCD on the front and 4 x 114.3 PCD on the rear, ..meaning you'd have to run multi fit wheels.

Was 'highly advised' by engineer, not compulsory.
Relates to power of 7AGTE and government law requirements to upgrade and test brakes and suspension of any vehicle who's engine upgrades are 20% or more above that of the most powerful factory engine available in it's class (blacktop 20v)

If he's changing the engine/box to the GT4 version, then its highly unlikely that the original rear diff ratio is going to match the gearbox combination any more.
You're going to need the matching rear diff from the GT4. Unfortunately, I think it's rather unique to the GT4's/Caldina's ratio wise.
See if you can find an old school hot rodder. Many times in Australia, people have converted a longer live axle from a completely different (usually bigger) car & had it modified by shortening the axles & tubes, cutting off all the mounting brackets and welding on the original ones. Its quite legal here when done properly, so should be ok in Germany.

For anyone asking why he wants to change the rear brakes. He lives in GERMANY, the land of the NO SPEED LIMIT!!! Having recently been there, sometimes you've still got to brake pretty hard at 200km/h to stop from running in the back of a slower moving vehicle.

BTW, the GT4 brakes should fit on the front of your Wagon. You can change the hubs over with an appropriate wheel bearing to give you a 5x100 stud pattern, or redrill the GT4 brake rotors to a 4x100 pattern. either way the Gt4 calipers should bolt directly on. This includes all the way up to the massive ST205 GT4 brakes

Oh, I forgot, have you tried to mount any rear brake rotors onto the rear hubs?
When I recently changed the rear drum brakes on my X3 Excel (Accent to you), I found the later model Elantra rotors fitted straight onto the Excel's hubs. I just needed to change the mounting bracket for the drum vs caliper.
And it was the same when I converted my older model Caldina from rear drums to discs. Just changed the backing plates
