OK we have had alot of progress. I have finished connecting the wires from the main body connector plug (Ih1 i think... big squre one) and have connected the efi relay wires from the 1jz plug EA2 down at the fuse box (wire colors are red/black - bigger of the three, yellow/black & orange/black) to the corresponding wires on the soarers fusebox loom, a little square five pin plug with only four wires into it. The car cranks over buitifully but there doesnt seem to be any efi activity (ie no fuel pump) and i cant figure out why. There are alot of plugs coming out of the soarers fusebox that arent conncted as i have no idea there they go. It almost seems as though the computer/efi system have no power but the rest of the car does?????!?!?!
If anyone can shed some light on this please do as im a bit stuck. Also next to the 12pin plug on the 1j loom (plug ea2 near the fusebox) there is a smaller 2 pin plug that connectes to nothing. If anyone can help me please tell me whatever you know this is an overwhelming headache and its all thats stopping me from driving the car now.
Cheers guys,

I am fairly sure the 2 pin plug is just for a capacitor or something, nothing too important.
The z20 has a funky fuel setup, and it is possible in the eagerness to ri[p everythign out you have upset it. there is a 'high and low' relay that changes the voltage to the pump. it sits on the drivers side of the car with a big resistor, if this was removed it probably won't work.
Although, the type of thing your describing sounds alot like what my car was doing when i did my conversion. With me you turn the key to start. the fuel pump fires up and the starter motor runs. when the car starts and you move the key back to on the fuel pump turns off with the starter motor. the car idels for about 10 secs as it empties the fuel lines then stalls. I would check you Circuit opening relay is wired properly to the ECU (IH1 pin 7 and 4 i think) should wire to FC on the ECU.
Basically the starter motor gets the fuel pump running to start it, then when the ECU sees the car is running it starts the pump again. i think it is so when you stall the pump also shuts off.
