I'm 200% sure it won't start if fuel lines are round wrong way
If it was perfect before u changed tanks then put a fuel pressure gauge on it and drive round for abit
If its not fuel related then u have disturbed something else

Was doing some research and my return lines are wrong. I've had the return from the engine, going straight to the fuel tank instead of the surge tank..
I'm not running a charcoal canister so where do I run a line from fitting (1) to?
there is afew differnet theories with where to run return
if u run it to surge tank it fills the surge tank aswell so uless chance tio run out of fuel
but the fuel can get warm as it returns from engine warm
if u return it to the tank then the surge is always getting the cold fuel from the tank
ive always returned it to the surge tank
if u return it to the tank and u have problems filling the surge tank then u have problems with pickup in tank or the prime pump
I always tell guys to spend 200 bucks more and get a swirl pot and pump fitted inside the tank and get it all done properly
then u don't have this problem
Yeah man, I'm going to re route the return lines the way you have mentioned tomorrow. Do you know any places that fit swirl pots/internal fuel pumps in long range tanks?
And where should I run the fuel tank breather as I don't have a charcoal canister anymore..
All hoses are run as they should be but still no change in idle.. Cold start still at 300-500RPM
I would pull lid off ecu and check for bad capacitors
and still put a pressure gauge on it
or check for good fuel flow down the return
Checked the ECU and everything was fine there. No bad or leaking capacitors. The ECU has a sticker on it and was only tested in October '12.
There is strong fuel flow from the return hose
Would it be smart to adjust the TPS sensor? Have read this article: http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/EFI/tps.html
But some say that the TPS should not have to be adjusted etc?

Does anyone know where to buy a new fuel pressure regulator for my 92 soarer UZZ31? Have called Toyota and the part will be on backorder from Japan and will take about a month to get.
Any aftermarket or universal one available that mount/attach to factory location?
Have u checked fuel pressure
I've never seen a 1uz press reg fail
The fuel flow out the return hose is very strong and steady. There's a hissing sort of noise coming from the regulator and sounds like the fuel is pulsing.. I took the vacuum hose off the FPR to see if fuel was getting into it but all good and the idle had also increased when hose was removed.. So maybe internal diaphragm is stuffed?
