4MEU W50 bellhousing same as 5MGE W50 Bellhousing?

Pretty much what the title asks. Is a 4MEU W50 bellhousing same as 5MGE W50 Bellhousing?

Reason I ask is I'm putting a 5MGE in my MA45 and keeping the original engine in the shed, But the 5MGE has an Auto... The MA45 is a Manual with a W50 so if they are the same bellhousing life would be sweet!

If not I know where to get a bellhousing but would much rather save the $$$ for the triple Solex/Weber sidedrafts I'm putting on it to replace the EFI (Don't hate =3).

5MGE never came with W50, they came with W5x alloy case boxes, I.e. W55, W57, W58.

That said all M series can share the same bell housings so your W50 bellhousing will bolt up to the 5MGE fine!

As long as you use the manual flywheel bolts.And I can second that,that a W50 will bolt behind a 5MGE as I have done this in my MX22 Corona MK2.
