    Default 4AGZE Supercharger Solenoids

    Hi there Guys,

Can anybody help me with info on the blue and brown VSV solenoids that are on the 4AGZE... I am installing a LINK G4 STORM and want to know if these are required?... Can I remove them??... I'm told they are mainly fuel emission solenoids are are not required when using after market engine management... Any info, diagrams etc would be greatly appreciated... Thanks..

Blue VSV opens vacuum to open the ABV then vents to atmosphere under boost to close the ABV (ABV closes via spring but if you plug the vent side into the manifold you can put boost pressure into the ABV to help keep it closed under higher boost, most get rid of the VSV all together but I've done it this way).

The brown VSV is to close vacuum off from the FPR under load to allow max fuel pressure. Apparently you can do away with the VSV, I've got mine off but until it runs perfectly I cant guarantee this can be done away with; thus far, it has made no difference to my set up.

The brown VSV does not close off vacuum under load, as that would decrease fuel pressure.

The VSV is activated under hot restart to increase fuel pressure and prevent vapour lock in the fuel rail for hot restart.
