    Default Seam sealer?

    Hi all,

Im doing a heap of chassis mods, etc on my GT4.

What seam sealer do you guys use / recommend?
Something similar to the Toyota stuff would be great... slightly flexible, but also hard enough so it can be sanded & painted easily.

    Thanks in advance!

    Sikaflex would do the job.

Yes Sikaflex "Automotive body sealer" you can get it at Bunnings in either black or white and it can be painted over, if you want something close to original 3M have a product which I can't remember the name of but can be gotten from any bodyshop supplier

I used 3M 550M PU adhesive sealant, applied with a caulking gun.

Also had a supply of latex gloves and thinners.
Dip your finger in the thinners and you can smooth the bead of really nicely without it sticking. (just remember the gloves don't last long).

I also had some brush-on stuff for the less visible areas down the trans-tunnel, doubled as a seam sealer / underseal.
