I'm a big fan of the Celica Dragon logo as it's a little more subtle and could be more popular due to its relevance to the entire first gen range, rather than having to make specific tags for each variant. I like the Celica script idea too though, wouldn't mind an exclusive TA22 one myself.
Yeah there's no harm in asking about the Toymods one- it's a cool idea and I'm sure that the club will appreciate the idea either way.

Its not a big deal to make the specific Model ones the way they are made up. Its just a matter of one entire row is one type. There are 15 rows on a 12 inch sheet. The 3 center ones need to be the same and then the next row needs to match the next row on the other side etc etc. Then there are 5-10 columns depending on the pattern. I could do the Celica script and the Dragon on the other side in an engraving as well. One over the other or the Dragon then the Celica after it. Smaller if its over and under. I will play with it and see what I come up with.
So not much interest in the 1stgencelicas huh? Or is that something you would go after?

The only way to prove manliness is to have 4 celica's.

But don't worry riv, 25's count double, and GT's count double again... So you're good.

Just 4 huh? Slacking I guess. Ok I only have the one right now. But I have a Widebody 74 Hilux I cut in half and added 15 inches to the middle of it bumper to bumper direction. It has a 1U/R154 combo and SC400 front and rear suspention. Its under construction still but should be done in the next year or so.

Ok So I am getting feed back of they are going to be to long for most people. I will still make them but I will shelf that style for a little bit. I am drawing up the RA21 etc but increase the letters to maybe .750 or so onthe fronts with a Celica Script for the back side also raised.....If its not to hard to machine. I will engrave if its to hard. I would guess these would be 3 inches long or so. I will have a drawing in a couple of days. What would be the chassis codes that will be popular over on that side of the pond? Not one or two but lots. I can do one or twos but they would be a little extra once the main drawing is set.

Ok Toyman that sounds good I will let you know when we are at that point. Hey River good seeing you again.

I am about 10-11 days into this one.

I guess (despite the thread title) they're not really referred to as "1stGenCelica's" that often, at least not where I'm from..maybe that's different down south. Mostly I hear them referred to as model/chassis number specific with the year. This is probably because there's not many around up here in QLD and there's no real need for an 'umbrella term' as you'll only see ever one on the road at a time usually.
So the phrase "Wow, look at that large group of 1st Gen Celica's!" is seldom necessary!
For me the issue with the name is its affiliation with another website/club and that it might lead to confusion between whether I'm advocating my car, the site or both. I realise this is unintentional and unavoidable of course.
This is partially why I recommended a Toymods one as I'm sure the community would appreciate something unique to them- just as i'm sure the 1stgencelica would appreciate it too.

I here ya on the other site issues thats why there is an S on the end to try and avoid that. I used to be involved there before it was sold now I avoid it best as possible. But I still wanted to give them something. The drawings for the new idea will be done tomorrow or the next day I will post.

So what are the common models over here. Toy and River what would be involved with using the Toymod logo? Pm me on that if needed.

Raxx on the front and a raised toymod logo on the back for you guys. Or Celica script?

You'd have most success with TA22, TA23, RA28 and RA23. Of course there's the odd RA25 but you'd only have a couple (lucky) buyers.
I think even just the Toymods logo alone- cut out or engraved/raised would be nice. I think pairing the chassis and model together would be good- eg. TA22 on the front and Celica on the back.
Keeping the Toymods logo by itself would mean it would be applicable to everyone on Toymods and more of a universal item- which is what I think it should be as in a weirdly poetic way that's what Toymods is all about- all breeds of Toyota.
    That's just my two cents.

Ok Celica Model and Celica ones are in progress. The ToyMods ones I think I will just do the Logo on both sides that way it will apply to all of you guys. Or would you like a Raised one and a Engraved one on the other side?

Once the basic template is setup for the Model specific ones tha models can be changed pretty easy. Any interest in ones for MX or MA etc? And the Toymod logo is pretty plain any way to bling it up with out deviating from it or leave it alone?

Ok this is what we came up with. First option is the Logo on one side and the "ToyMods" on the other side twice? Or one time centered your call? I am going to add a engraved line to make the missing part on the Logo side where the big loops have the two lines just didnt do it yet.

    1.5 tall and 2.87 long

Or we can do it this way and engrave the letters for ToyMods because they are just to small to make raised. Also need to add the extra lines to the loops?

Let me know what is prefered and I still need to here from River or Toyman on how to get approval for this.

If your going alloy mate, instead of stainless, u'll need to choose the right one if you want that little tab to survive the stress of the key ring for any length of time.

I like the designs that you've got up there, got me thinking- how difficult would it be to make a 'cut out' version? I'm sort of envisioning the toymods 'rings' and maybe lettering inside, put on a template then cut out so it looks something like this:

Would have to be pretty thick to be sturdy, but christ would that be cool.
