    Default vvt 1jz gte at to mt problems

    Hi all,
    i heard about that when you convert a 1jzgte at to 5 speed manual, you can use at ecu, but it will happen the idel funny and also
    car will stall sometimes.
    anyone have this experience?

    adjust the idle screw a little higher on the throttle body , i found it helped
    and also bridged the wires that are for second gear and soldered them together and removed dash light as it made more sense to me
    for it to thinks its in gear rather then neutral

    after that never had a stalling or idle problem ever ,even later with aftermarket turbo setups ect or even without the j pipe

    you may fool ecu, make it think it's always in park/neutral. Then it won't have idle issue, and it won't store transmission related failure codes. Power output won't suffer from that
