Default Tyres width for AE93 SX seca with stock 14" rims

    Good afternoon.
I desperately need to replace the tyres on my AE93 Seca.
Not looking at putting rims on it unless i can find a cheap set of 15's or 16's with descent tyres.
So only option is stock 14's.
Now stock size look a little thin so am going wider but whats a good width for a stock setup with the exception of being lowered.
i dont want any scraping or issues.
Now i do like to give it a squirt from time to time if i didnt i would be just going the smallest cheapest tyres possible :-)
    Cheers guys.
I have done a quick search but i didnt find anything on 14's

I'd stick with the stock size if I were you, if you put wider tyres on the skinny factory alloys you'll just end up with a lot of sidewall flex which will be detrimental to the handling. I had an AE93 years ago, if I recall correctly the tyres were 185 or 195 60-series. A quick google tells me that Toyo Yokohama Dunlop Bridgestone and Kuhmo still make performance tyres in that size, there are probably more, just stick with a good brand. Ring around your local tyre dealers and tell them your budget and see what they can do (tyres rarely have a recommended retail price, so shop around!)

    Fitted now is 185 60 14.
    I was thinking of just going 195 60 14.
195 is still quite small and only little larger than stock so i cant see that being a problem?
Please tell me otherwise if im wrong :-)

And putting a few dollars towards better quality rather than going bigger and cheaper.
