Default 1jz misfiring on cylinder 1

    hey all
My 1jz is missing on cylinder 1. Its getting injector pulse. I swapped the coils around, the miss remained on cylinder 1.
Ideas as to what it might be?
I'm thinking either a dud injector, faulty igniter or broken coil plug.
Can't do anymore testing tonight as neighbours are complaining
    any help greatly appreciated
(CAPS IN ECU ARE FINE) already checked

Could be a bad solder join or wiring sinc u did rewire the whole ecu
Get a noid light and check for injector pulse
U can also use noid light to check pulse at coil plug

There are no solder joins, I used brand new plugs and receptacles
I checked for injector pulse with my multimeter, seemed to be there.
Ill see if I can get myself a noid light today

Have you done a compression test on that cylinder? Is it actually getting spark out of the s/plug on cyl 1?

    That's abit weird
Someone on the forums actually doing a proper job hehehehe

Use a screw driver as stethoscope to check for injector pulsing

Then maybe remove coil from faulty cylinder swap it to good cylinder
See if problem follows coil or stays the same

I havent compression tested the cylinder but the problem is intermittent. Its working fine at present =/
haha been bitten in the ass for cutting corners too many times.. took long enough but I think ive learnt
I tried that, problem stays with the cylinder.
now car wont work in drive but works fine in Low and reverse... go figure =/

Mine used to misfire on once cylinder intermittently and when it came on boost, my problem was that the wires on the 1st coil were the wrong way around

Is wiring to Injector good and not a bad connection?
Check that wiring behind the Coilpack Loom Conduit is not frayed or stripped, especially around the Bends

How do you know Cylinder 1 is the one that is Misfiring?

Check that Throttle Position Sensor is working as it should aswell as Wiring and Plug to it .... this was my misfiring problem on Idle.
Check Output of the Oxygen Sensor, if it fails in such a way to give out an Illegal value it can cause misfiring and problems during take off and driving
