Yeah pretty sure it mentions in the service manual to never remove the stub axles from the hubs and leave the car under its own weight.
Did it with a AW11 and got it about 20m before they started to lock up tight lol

Yeah after i looked at the setup properly 20m sounds about right. Yet somehow it did heaps of driving like this without being a problem (all after rego, of course)

Anywho they are all fixed with cut down stub axles now and are behaving themselves.

Now this is rego'd and all legit Ive had it out heaps and i fkn love it. Really does tow like a dream!
It got a fresh coat of paint inside before Winterfest and looks heaps tidier now. Turns out my 8yr old daughter is a gun on the spray can!

Every trailer I've seen (except for mine?) has the A frame bars all the way to the front hitch of the springs. Mine doesn't, and is now bent at the front of the bed (ie where the A frame meets the rest)
    This!!!
I wouldn't be taking that anywhere near the road (even with no load) with the way its currently attached.
You absolutely must add a frame from your cross bar towards the rear suspension.

Just consider the shit you'll be in if it does break loose and hit another car.
    Not worth the risk.

    Grave dig!
I took this for a 700km odd round trip last week to pick up an engine and it was faultless the whole way. It really tows so well, all trailers should be irs!! you literally forget its there until you see it in the mirror. No problem doing $1.20 and fanging through corners or hammering down gravel tracks
Added bonus, it acts as an anti-drift bar. The car will only step out a foot or so before the trailer pulls it back in line. As a consequence, there's not much paint left on the front of it... oops!

Ive got the wheel bearing situation all sorted now, after stealing an inner race from another hub. Wasnt that a fun job, i broke a finger in the process (with my biggest hammer, of course)
Random fact -the mx83 rear wheel bearing is NOT a tapered roller like i was expecting but rather a preloaded duplex pair of angular contact ball bearings. Hats off to you Mr Toyoda, its a nice design. No wonder ive never had to change a set...
