Guys!
I've got a weird problem with my 4AC with a C50 5-speed manual tranny, 2nd gear engages during neutral after replacing the shaft fork. and since i have a spare C150 from a 5-speed 2E 12 valve engine.
from my point of view they may be the same since they have the same gear ratio's. here"
C150: 2E 5-speed
gear ratios:
1st: 3.545
2nd: 1.904
3rd: 1.310
4th: 0.969
5th: 0.815
Reverse: 3.250
C50: AE82, AE92 (All), AE101 w/ 4A-FE) MR2 Mk1a
Gear Ratios:
1st: 3.545
2nd: 1.904
3rd: 1.310
4th: 0.969
5th: 0.815
Reverse: 3.250
final drive: 3.722
Even so they have different bellhousing, which the starter mount is positioned.
here:
2E w/ C150 Tranny
4AC w/ C50 Tranny
But then they have the same right side engine/tranny mounts..
here:
So my question is, will it be possible that the bell housing from the 4AC C50 Tranny can be interchange into the C150 gearbox without modifications?

They should interchange but you might have some fiddling to do with bearings.
