    Default MX73 Cressida Lowering

So wanting to lower my MX73 Cressida, and thinking about getting some lowering springs for the ma61 - not sure to go with standard or low?

    All advice appreciated!

depends on your budget, could go for a megan racing coilover kit, or just some kings or similar

My budget doesn't extend to coilovers unfortunately, plus the spring rates on them are to high for my liking. I have a s13 Silvia with coilovers, so the cressida was bought for comfort in the first place. Now i was hoping someone had put in kings springs from a ma61 who would be able to comment....

Apparently stock MA61 springs lower a Cressida, read that a long time ago but cant confirm it 100%.

MA61 springs will fit into a Cressida 100% though, thats for sure. Just not sure on the height drop.

Borrow a mates 4inch grinder and you can have it as low as you want for free. Seriously.

And then you end up with super low super soft springs, with no handling. A brilliant and dangerous combination. Well done.

^Agreed Cruzida, not interested in chopping springs....never a good idea.
Seems like kings springs lows for ma61 is probably the way I'm heading....

By the way, do you have more photos of that car Ivandude?

MA61 King Lows will give you a 4" drop.
King standards about a 2" drop.

EDIT: Depending on how much the stock springs have sagged.

Even if you get proper lowered springs, your shocks are gonna give up the ghost as soon as you bottom it out, which will probably be within a week with 4 inch lowered springs, so itl ride like dog shit anyway, probs more dangerous than softer springs. Driving on pogo sticks. 2 inch lowered springs will be ok but any lower your gonna bust your shocks and have to get shorter stroked shocks if you want to do it properly. If your not willing to spend the money on coilovers which is the proper way, then i wouldnt bother spending the money on lowered springs, id just chop em and save the money up for coilovers. Megans are only like 800 bucks.
