Re: Need a brake booster fixed in Sydney
The bell halves of some boosters are held together with a clamp and are easy to open. However, if it has a series of tabs or castellations around the join, these need to be twisted say 15 degrees. I opened a few of this type with a chain welded to a length of pipe (not unlike some oil filter removers). I placed some rubber around the outside then put the chain over it. Put the lot into a well mounted vice and untwist the two halves. You have to overcome the initial stiction of the rubber but once it moves it's generally easy from there.

Re: Need a brake booster fixed in Sydney
It looked like it had tabs that has been crimped, didn't feel keen trying to crack it open without a manual or proper instructions, last thing I needed was to fuck it.
Will be ready Monday I'm told.
