Does anyone know where i could buy a external air pressure sensor & gauge from ..

Hi,

I'm sure i was reading on this site some time ago about someone was using a air pressure gauge tool to find different air pressure's around the outside of their car whilst driving ( as in finding a high pressure point under the bonnet, which would be good for air flow etc, etc ) i have tried to find the link to no avail can someone please point me in the right direction, as i would like to buy the said tool as i think from memory i wasnt all that dear ??

You were reading Autospeed, the gauge you want is a Magnahelic made by Dwyer. They are rather expensive to buy brand new, but they pop up on ebay every now and then for decent prices. Any differential pressure gauge that is suitably sensitive will work though.

Thanks for the replies Guys .. TERRA, good info not sure if it was what i saw last time ? have now saved it on my ebay search list ..

After posting this up yesterday i thought to maybe ring around a bit & got onto Jaycar & they didnt have a pressure gauge but they had a air flow meter & after talking to them & thinking about it i bought one to try, not so good under the bonnet but will work in other situations i'm thinking of ..

Yeah, the air flow meter measures wind speed, not pressure.
