I tried to check the ignition timing but the timing light I bought didn't work! I'm taking it back today and will do it later tonight. Even if it fixes the issue (fingers crossed that it does!!) I think I will get a new radiator regardless. It just means there's one less major part that's old/semi-broken.

I've got a cross flow aluminium Volvo radiator that's in great shape (no corrosion/damage) and was in my TA22 that's running a CA18DET. Was keeping that cool at 210RWkW, but couldn't quite cut it at 250, the humble 2T won't be much of an issue.
