Seats to fit a TA22 Celica

Still havent sold it, so i started selling parts and so far have made about 3k+ just selling a couple of bits and peaces. I never knew TA22 parts were so valuable. I keep getting lots of people calling up asking for pics and coming to look and test drive when they only have 2 or 2.5k to spend AND expect parts with it. For that price they can get a rusty unregoed one. Im not to worried, im in no rush to sell, dont need the money, and if i get the mr2 seat installed before it sells i will keep it for sure.
I might have a very nice RT81 coming up for sale soon for 2K if you know anyone after one?

For what it's worth I've been looking at the Corbeau 'Sport Seat'. My criteria are that A) the seat fits and B) it looks reasonably retro. There are a couple really nice classic looking seats like the Cobra Classic and I think Silverstone and OMP make versions too, the only problem is they aren't adjustable.
The Corbeau adjusts so it should accommodate any back seat bandits pretty well.

No word on fitment yet..but it could be a good option for a new seat?

Those corbeau seats do look ok, but I'm pretty keen on giving the SW20 seats a go. My SW20 is really comfy, even after long drives, and so I'm not taking a gamble like I would be with other seats. If I get a chance on the weekend I might take the passenger side out and see how it sits in the 22 and post some pics.

BTW, how much did the mr2 seat set you back Michael?

I just noticed that this is not my for sale thread, so my last post probably didn't make much sense.

I payed $280 then another $90 for postage for the first one and they sent me AW11 seat by mistake. So i was sent another seat for free but it had been in a crash and was completely buckled. So i ended up buying another one for another $260 with another $70 postage, so i payed lots in the end and have 3 different mr2 seats.

yeah lilcrash if any of these stock seat options (easy options) have harness holes. and maybe some suggestions for other seats that might fit without too much modification

No stock seats have harness holes and no seats fit "easily" in a 22.

96ish WRX have what could loosely be referred to as "harness holes". But if you're running a harness, you should run a race seat as well. otherwise you may as well just strap in with a noose IMO. I'm putting some Autosport seats in mine. Will fit nicely but will need custom mounts.

so by custome mounts what do people usually come up with? just a flat plate between the 2 built up chasis rails? or are we talking about having to cut into that to get a decent height. We are both around 6" so fairly average I think we could get away without it sliding provided we get it right the first time.
