I used SW20 MR2 seats in my TA22 with just a flat bracket to extend the rail mounts at the rear. I'm 6'1" and the height is jjjust acceptable. MR2 seats sit quite low, so depending on which seats you use, be prepared to lower the mounts.

I had to cut and flatten the floor pan to get my seat and head to both fit inside a TA22, pretty extreme measures. The TA22 has this nasty brace that the factory seats are mounted on that raise them up too high. , the floor pan is now flat from the front to rear foot wells on the drivers side. These shots don't do the fabricators work justice (Chris Kerby, AKA: Rex Kelway.) It's a MOMO rally seat an my arse is literally on the floorpan. This is by far the best seating position in a TA22 I've sat in. I'm 6' (180cm) and with the helmet on I've got 60mm clearance to the cage roof bracing.

(and yes that's the exhaust running though the cabin on the passenger side encase you were wondering...)

Anyone have suggestions to help me?

I bought a set of jza70r supra recaros and have installed the passenger seat into my ta22. That fits and works well.

Seeing that I am 6ft 2" and all legs I want the drivers seat to sit back lower and further. There isn't enough material on the stock ta22 rails or the recaros seat frame to do this.

I want it as far back as I can make it and still have strength.

What have people done? Flat bar welded to the seat rail and nuts welded to the bottom of that or??

One problem is the bottom of the recaro bases have little tags for the fabric to hold onto as per the first photo.

Pretty stumped on how to make it work well.

    Plzzzssz hallllllpppp
