I don't want to distract people from the next big event, Toyotas in the Park at Langley Park on November 11th (I hope all you Toyota/Lexus people are planning on being there), but I need to get the ball rolling for entries to our next Autokhana.

While we wait for dates for the Red Mist Series 2 to be confirmed with Tiger Karts for 2013, we've decided to run a one-off event to be a bit of a social event for Christmas, and to encourage people who've not given it a go before to take part. First timers, ladies and juniors get a $5 discount.

Entry is $65 for TECCWA members and $75 for Non-members.

Yes, because it's more a social day, and I'm trying some new layouts, I've decided to send the layouts out in advance.

You will need to make sure you have an AASA or CAMS license (check your expiry), or can get an AASA licence on the day. There's no need to complete a pre-event Scrutineering form as they often aren't all sent through, and I want to simplify the amount of forms needed before the event.

As entries and payments are received, the List of Participants will be updated and visible.

It's NOT a Toyota only event. Aaron won his class in a VW Golf GTI last series, and we've had Subaru's, Mitsubishis, Comaros and even a Forrester. So, feel free to drive whatever you like. Whether someone tries to mock you is another thing, but all in fun.

Most people rarely get out of 2nd (typically on the straights only), unless you're very good at gear changing. If you're still going slow enough in 2nd to be experiencing the lag, you're probably doing it wrong :-)

For those who missed Duane in his Top Gear leading Toyota AE86 Sprinter in the last round of Red Mist Series 1, he has entered this event, so you get another chance to see how it's supposed to be done.

So looks like I might have an LSD organised for the IS200.... But also got a gasket for the gearbox on the ae86 so I can finally get it sorted. Hopefully I can get it done ready for this

But I will be entering in the IS200 or the AE86

Unfortunately I don't think it will be ready in time.... I may just have the crossmember done by the 11th.

And my ZN6 is not being built until december now (although my production month seems somewhat confirmed). Oh well.... next time

Hi,

Not a problem from my point-of-view. Only thing we'll do on the day is check that none of the competitors have a problem (which I doubt), and probably make sure he doesn't fly over the Go Kart track or other areas besides where we're operating, including the caretakers house.
