Hey jojo, since you're stuck in type4 regardless, feel free to get my hankook slicks fitted on your wheels and see how they go

    ^^^ do it!!!

Edit: A thought just occured - I could bring over some tyreless rims, you could fit the Yokies we talked about (and I've had no time to sort with you) on them to drive out on and back, fit the slicks to the Superlites (and my shout on all the fitting costs) - and I could have a go on the Yokies while you're running the slicks... As we have sooo much time before Sunday to sort it... But besides that it sounds like a solid plan.

Full slicks Tyrie? That sounds awesome! (except if it rains ) You sure you want this? They may get toasted????? Where do I sign? lol.....

Todd, Yeah sounds good, except I dont fit the tyres myself, a local place does it for me. They are happy to do it, but I cant just go in and say DO IT NOW. They get pretty busy sometimes.... But if you want to try another actual tyre place, we can...
Also Todd, 2 of those Yokies copped a beating from that hillclimb. proberley have 1 more hillclimb in them. I will be home today (fri) all day if you have any time to check them out...

I still have to make rear suspension modifications before Sunday, otherwise I will be pulling lame 50's again....

What JoJo?! You haven't got a tyre machine yet?! Yeah, I know you get them done just over the back of your place, but reading back it did read otherwise.

But all good - I don't think 205s are going to cut it anymore... With the (unfortunately temporary) "tweak" it is brutal and traction is optional. Probably needs 235s at least so I probably need to track down some 17" rims...

So thanks - but use the Yokies for fun.

^^^^ Is it NAWWWWWS bru? and isn't the very nature of dirty-bird-scarer motors "unfortunately temporary" LOL

Yeh bru - with twin truck turbs with JATO rocketz providing da anti-lag! Teh hectikz!

Keep hearing rumours of the unreliability of rotors... Think in my case the fail point will be the gearbag or diff.

Well built and well tuned are the keys to reliability hey, for any motor. My 13B had 110,000km since last rebuild when I sold it, and still healthy as a supermodel.

I think that to some extent, rotors get hit with the "unreliability" stick on account of the fact that blokes who are attracted to owning them tend to be merciless with their driving style

Case in point (the first car - purple RX3):

"but Uleh, I kept it on da monster tach the whole time, never went over 10,000rpm, but dis morning, it won't start now eh?"

Bloody awesome day. New PB. Driving the 7 today was just f'n fun - it's nuts.

Phil's JZA70 is even more awesome in the flesh - though I think it almost scraped itself out of existence!

And I don't think Shane is going to let his brother drive his car anymore - was close. And watch out for Shane - he told me to take it easy on one run and I totally botched a corner and almost ended up in a tyre wall!

Oh - and my psyche out on Todd failed - I suck at racing AWDs. But I was right in saying he'd get a 3rd place trophy... Well done mate, I am now even more seriously impressed at your times, especially beating an Evo X!

So what was the new secret mod Todd?

Did your guards escape intact Phil?

Nice work all round by the sounds.

Todd I still need to see under your bonnet to see if there really is a PP under there...... your exhaust masked it so well, i'd never have known! Seemed to have good grunt up the hill though. So what's the back-story, where's your "normal" engine? Congrats on the PB by the way.

Ah yeah....... today was a good learning exercise on why cars slammed to the weeds look full hektic, but drive like shit on anything other than glass surfaces. In fact, it gave me the shits so bad, that I got stuck into it straight after mowing the lawn when I got home this arvo:

This is a good sign that it might be too low:

Guards are fine, they clear by miles, its actually a structural part of the chassis that was getting belted by the tread surface of the tyre. Just way too low, and nowhere to go.

Gaz was on a mission, and might have just pipped Shane for the day, had it not been for a fairly spectacular backwards excursion off the 3rd last corner No doubt he was trying hard! Smashed 2 seconds off his previous PB, and into the 49's

Yeah, was good to see a decent Toymods associated gang out there today.
    I missed Garaths stunt trick.....
I also missed seeing your runs Phil, as I was on the track and vice versa...

Was great to see Paul finally get his AE86 out on the hill. I really liked the blue Panda paint

This car was slightly confusing on the day ??????? (Khi was enjoying himself in other ways too!)
