are the glues not sticking to the glass or the mount?
what are you using to clean the area before gluing?
guys,
i need some help with m rear vision mirror.
if tried numerous brands types etc of glues that claim to be all thats required for your rear view mirror to remain stuck to the windscreen. of course another one has failed again.
to tell you the truth im pretty over installing this thing over and over.
does anyone have any experiences with these or more importantly a product that they know will actually work?
please help!
cheers

AU$TRALIA... come and stay and PAY and PAY!!! The moral high horse of the world!
there is a little black square on the windscreen that the base of the mirror needs to be glued to.
i removed any old adhessive residue from the mirror section as well as use the glass cleaner that they provide in the kits. i believe its meant to have some sort of priming funtction to it also.
use the amount of glue the note in their instructions and hold it in place for the required time.
seems to be after a few months the simply dont hold any longer.
considering the mirror is barely moved im not sure what the issue is...

Your best bet is to take it to a windscreen replacement mob. My wife's 2002 Camry mirror did the same, a local windscreen guy put it back on with their own mirror-windscreen glue, cost a huge $15.00 and she had to wait 20 minutes to cure before she drove away. 6 months later getting adjusted each time I drive (1-2 times a week) and it's still there strong. Lack of boobs may increase price, but it would still be less hassle...

Is this a 'silhouette' on the other side of the glass or a piece of the old mirror setup?
If it's just an outline for positioning, you're not following the adhesive instructions correctly.
If it's an old mount, like a thin piece of rubber like stuff, remove it & start over.
