Temora 1000m 8th Sept

I found this to be a great event last year, both as an entrant and spectator. I'll be back this year (i hope).

Andrew Linton & Matt Bentley were chatting about this on the weekend, apparently this is no longer being run by the guy who organised it last year after a tiff within the commodore club and he is running another event at a different location set to be on some proper hot mix with AASA regulations allowing slicks etc to be used.

I'd probably do both in that case The Temora event had some issues but fark me, better than no event at all?

Temora? The place out west where they have the classic aviation air shows?

Is there an airshow on that weekend? If so I may have to seriously think about this.

There was a bit of a display over the lunch break that was pretty cool....thought the old bird was gonna fall outta the sky a coupla times Free entry to the museum display, which was definitely worth a look.

From what I can gather - the Temora event last year caused a massive barney amongst the organisers. Thier club is in crisis and Adam the event organiser has left that club.

He has arrranged a new event - most likely in late october, on hotmix and a 2200m strip. He has asked me to keep the location a bit quiet for another couple of days. But for people travelling from most locations - it will be approximately the same sort of distance.

Adam is a champion guy who did a stirling job to get such an event up and running. I'd like to encourage everone to support his event if possible - people like him can and will improve the public face of amature motorsport, by running exciting and safe options for enthusiasts to enjoy thier cars.

sounds good. definitely count me in for that if the adub is running. would be nice to see full boost in fifth gear without being in fear of my life and/or license for once

Bummer. It would be interesting to see 18R-GTE powered Celica versus Merlin powered Spitfire.
