    Default 1G-GE Piston Subsitution Need Help

    Hi there..

    I want to substitute my 1G-GE piston with piston from any other car...since in Indonesia 1G-GE pistons are rare thats make unreasonable price for my pocket
    Does anyone have done this before?

    I sent a sample piston to je, and had a set of forged pistons made, really not that expensive in the scheme of things.

    Can you tell me how much for those?
    as comparison..1 set pistons 1G are about 675US$ in my country x_x
    even 6 piston Benz W124 Mahle w/ teflon are much cheaper than that

    Ok then they might not be a cheap option, depends what you want out of engine i guess.

    from memory i paid around $1400aus for pistons, rings & pins ect, that was a fair few years ago now though.
