what was wrong with the clock? not keeping time?
i had the same with parents sxv20 and all was solved with a new battery.
Just finished repairing the digital clock in daughters Camry
There are some solder joints that commonly break on the pcb
Easy enough to solder back together . hardest part is removing and refitting the clock.
next candidate is my Hilux clock

Any pics or specifics? I have a intermittent issue with the clock in one of my Ravs. Keeps time fine just turns the display off sometimes as if the accessories line is being switched off. I pulled it out at one point and took a look and found the terminals from the plug were conducted through a set of springs to the main pcb. I couldn't see any specific cracks or delaminating around any of the joints and figured the springs contact points weren't clean enough. Still doesn't work properly and needs some persuasion to display some times. I may have to pull it out again at some point and re solder the display mounting pins.

Here is a Youtube video of a repair on a Corolla clock
The clock is probably different to yours. Look for the same components in your clock. Have a good look with a magnifying glass to see if the solder is broken

I did the same with a mates Nissan Patrol. Had dry solder joints and I replaced the electrolytic capacitors for good measure (they dry out over time and with heat. Only last about 5000 hours of operation).
