We do have a contact in the UK who does casted alloy blocks and heads. As my dad uses them for his engines.
But its def not cheap, your looking at like $10k for a bare casted alloy block.

hey Baz, any downsides in having the gudgen pin protrude into the oil scraper slot?

The way the gudgen sits will have no effect on the oil ring function. Alot of race pistons have been done like this for years now.
There is just 1 added extra part when assembling called a rail.

Also for those who placed orders you will also be receiving 2 crank keys for free! We just placed an order from Toyota for 30 of these.

Very nice. do they require any machining of the caps to fit? or do you just us longer studs?

They fit with ARP studs. No machining.

ARP studs actually poke up an extra 7mm. Meaning there is enough thread left to add a 7mm spacer under the nut.
