Default Need Help setting up direct fire on Haltech PS1000

Hey T-modders, want to switch to direct fire on my GT4 running Haltech PS1000 and hope someone can help.
On the ECU I changed the ignition Spark Mode to be Direct Fire & re wired the haltech IGN outputs to the corresponding coils / cylinders.

    IGN 1 to CYL 1
    IGN 2 to CYL 2
    IGN 3 to CYL 3
    IGN 4 to CYL 4

I am unsure what else... does the home and or trigger wiring from the dizzy need changing, mine is currently wired up like below.
Is there anything else that I would need to look at.... tooth offset etc

    Cheers,

Are you sure that the IGN output should be wired that way? If that's what Haltech says should be done, that obviously fine. But most ECU's don't actually know what cylinder is what and just cycle thru the ignition and injector outputs. Certainly with Adaptronic computers its:

    IGN 1 to CYL 1
    IGN 2 to CYL 3
    IGN 3 to CYL 4
    IGN 4 to CYL 2

Again, double check with the manual or Haltech directly.

wire it ign 1 to cyl1
    ign 2 to cyl 2
    ign 3 ti cyl 3
    ign 4 to cyl 4

as in the haltech u actually put in the firing order
and that adjusts it to be correct

only the autronic ecus are wired by firing order not cylinder order

Confirmed that ignition needs to be wired by cylinder order for direct fire.
Just not sure if I need to make any changes to the dizzy wiring or anything else?

    That's cool, then.
If the home and and trigger wires are reading off the appropriate sensors, then you should be fine. After wiring in the coils and ignition module (unless you are using coils with built in modules ) every thing else will just be settings in the computer.

just make sure u leave the coils unplugged till u setup the ecu correctly

early haltechs had a bad habit of earthing the unused ignition outputs
so if tune is setup for 1 coil the rest of the ignition wires are grounded
so if they r hooked up to a coil u will let the smoke out of the coils and need new ones
not sure if the new ones do it aswell but better to be safe

New ones do this also... Haltech makes frying your coils much easier
