    Angry 20 V in ae82- (doesn't work) HELP!!!

    list of things i've done:

    - Put Eninge in.

    - Pluged in two conectores to ecu ( not the 12 pin)

    - Have given power from ignition to where the 12 pin plug needed it pin # ( 2,3,7)

    - Warning light works pin # ( 8 )

    - All loom attached to engine, nothing missing

Don't have 2 of the plugs attached from fuse box in engine bay
( actually ahev the pluges just dont know if they are important or what they plug into, i think its just lights)

when key is turned to acc clock turns on,
turned to on heat warning light turns and handbreak light
turned to start clock turns of and nothing else happens,

tryed turning on via giveing starter moter the positive and turns over fine, still didint start

then took spark plug out and held on earth and turned over , checking for spark but had no luck.

also the cord from the ignition coil to the dizzy is it ment to have constand 12 V when ignitoon set to on, ( if so it didnt )

Please any help getting car running!!! cheers

I must admit not a conversion I would take on.

haha dont sell it , youve just poured money into the car and will get no return what so ever if you sell a "project car" , id start by checking all your earths are connected if all power dies, are your ignition wires wired into the key, get the multimeter out and check

the ecu needs to turn on etc to give power to everything if the ignition isnt plugged in you have no chance , find out what those 2 plugs do too

if your not quite sure on wiring get Sideshow to help you.(fellow toymods member) You hand over the cash and get it done properly. but i know thats its always good to do things yourself and learn that way. But make sure you contiue witht the conversion you will be happy at the end.

And now i just realsied thats NZ number plate so sideshow is out of the question.

yeah have wiring diragrame for both model cars, just seems that powering the 12 pin was all i should have needed to do for ecu to get power, because none of the other plugs into the ecu need power, only earths. and the ecu is getting power from the ignition via old loom.

i'll have another good play around and check out all other wires, if i have no luck any body know an auto sparkie who knows this type of vechile or engine, other wise ill be paying someone to do the same thing im doing.

    thanks

Please picture the two "unknown" plugs you are referring to.

Have you also got the 2 (one black, one grey) flat + wide plugs connected that are on the engine loom inside the cabin (just near the ECU plugs)??

Have you wired up the 20V fuse box correctly to the AE82 body looms?

Immediately my thoughts are that you havent wired up the engine correctly.....
    ...... butt scratcher?!
