the sprinter was a RB25, it scared me as it passed me smoking the wheel at 1/2 track and continuing to smoke it when he pulled 3rd.

i handed a Gen3 its ass, a 260kw falcon and a GT forester, the rest i either left alot later or drilled them.

    times are as follows
    13.99 100.13
    16.02 63.88
    14.47 99.34

    13.88 100.87 .505RT
    13.81 100.27 .498RT
    13.63 101.06 1.993 60ft

i did indeed look under the bonnet of the silver ta22, it was a 3t with a to4 and a custom plennum, they said they had 315 at the wheels.

hate to say it, but the AMG is a STOCK 1995 6 cylinder NA....My quickest was a 15.17@ 154km/hr. With 1.23 reaction time (doh!)

Na, in 1900KG worth of car...i was quite impressed.
That is pretty decent then! I know nothing about these merc's. That would beat most na 6's I would think.

    It's a C36 AMG isn't it? They only weigh 16XXkg, not 1900kg.

... and it sounded like the diff or final drive had square-cut gears. weird.

It had the distinctive whine of gears engaging at very high speed - maybe that's just the special diff they run (is electrically controllable or so Blake says)?

anyway - slow off the line but has the goods.

    cheers,
    Charles.

    slow off the line!?

.2 of a second quicker than me on his first run in a na6 that weighs 300kg more than my car. Not that bad I reckon

in comparison to some of the crazy bobiles you see at the drags it probably didn't help as well

actually - funniest thing for the night was the bogan mum and her trio of under-7-year-old male children with ADD (attention defecit disorder) all being fed coke. Was like being on the set of The Castle at times ... three hyperactive kids and a screaming mum - oh so entertaining.

Even Simon's two over-active kids were just staring at that mob like they were aliens.

they are 1690kg kerb weight, ie no fuel, no spare, no driver, no toolbag in the boot.

yeah it has an electronic diff in it. Still beat a Gen3 and a BA at some stage, i was stoked. Its not a race car, fuck me its a sports saloon. show me a UZS131 or something that runs 15.1 stock,

blake: can you hear a high-pitched whine (like straight-cut gears) when you're travelling at (straight line) high speed?

How about you and your dad go heads-up: jag v8 versus ma61 v8 ?

Nah its quiet as a mouse on the highway (crusing at 150- 180say)....the motor has that typical european scream under load if thats what you might be mistaking....it does rev to 6900 u know
i only reached that redline in 2nd, 1st changed at 5600

Dads throttle body shat itself and my v8 is getting a tidy up in the engine bay, rewiring everything, then im going to get some more EFi goodies....so yeah might be a while...i might do a pre/ post efi run tho. I had a ball on wednesday!!
