Injector Placement

Ey all,

I have another query regarding injectors. I understand with some injectors the way thay are placed in relation to the head is critical, Looking at the stock 7m injectors it seems they do indeed need to be mounted with the injector plug inbetween the fuel rail and the head. The holes in the bottom of the 7M injector look like this:



I have installed 550cc injectors on my 7m, but due to the the harness plugs I had to install them inverted 180deg from the normal position. They had different holes on the bottom, which looked kind of like this:



It seems with this "sprey pattern" will not matter how the injector is installed, well I think thats the case. I hope the "pictures" are good enough, I can take more if needed but that will possibly require removel of my fuel rail...

What do you guys rekon...?

by the look of that, it will not matter the direction that they are pointed.
the top picture seems to indicate that the injectors need to be installed a certain way.

this is so that even amounts of fuel can be put into both intake valves (being 4v/cyl engine).

with a big spray pattern like that, i dont think it should make a difference.

(what are you doing with your stock 7M injectors?) hehe

Stock 7M injectors will be sold, once I get the engine up and running. If your in the market I will keep you in mind.
