hi need directions and suggestions for upgrading mx 83 cressida, am fitting a 7mgte to it but need info on intercooler and engine oil cooler as the turbo and inlet are both on r/h side, is there an easy intercooler option to fit? would like to upgrade wheels but need to know offset required, have got 15 x 7 globes of a falcon but extend past guards? also the way to go with suspension and brake upgrade? p.s. the car is a 1 lady owner from sydney 91 grande with 140 000 klms when bought.chris

Intercooler find one that fits behind front bumper and bring it to a shop that can make custom piping to suit or do it yourself by buying bends and welding together.

As for Performance upgrades for the 7m-gte Good dump and exhaust, Good idea to check the engine over and replace the head gasket with new one, get head machined etc and new Head studs at the correct torque maybe ask an Engine builder who has done some of these motors. After that Lexus AFM, larger injectors and SAFC, Highflow CT26 or a bigger turbo of your choice or alternatively instead of that choice aftermarket ECU, larger injectors and bigger turbo and get it tuned.

If you don't want to deal with 7m head and overheating Issues, put a 1jz or 2jz-gte in there.

Service it then drive.

thanks for the input still tossing direction most straight forward seems 1jz but i've never taken the easy option. still have time to decide as its 3rd in line behind range rover growing to 4.6l and bundera assembly with vt v6(engine done)
