Nah, still havn't heard anything, I've got his phone number though so I'm gonna give him a bell today.

As has been mentioned, the standard T50 bellhousing won't fit a GZE flywheel & clutch inside it, & from experience if you need to go to the trouble of fitting a W5x box, you're going to need the bigger GZ flywheel. It will make life much easier.
That adapter doesn't look too bad, but I would have the same reservations as Takai, plus a number of people in this thread have tried adapters with no luck & have opted to go for a custom bellhousing.

Yeah, i did notice that he provides the spigot bearing cure after i posted.
I would be interested in one of these to compare, and maybe use on the Celica.

fair call on the clutch sizes, that was the only down side i could think of to, mind you that said i havent had any slip problems with my clutch in the t50 box now (215mm fly, ecedy 4 puck, ecedy h/d p/plate) behind my 4agte.

something was mentioned about the throwout bearing, i think you use a hilux carier?

anywho the price is ok i think ill give one ago.

my adapter is from the same guy in tassie ,

nothing to locate the adapter or bellhousing (dowels). now fixed..
also nothing to centralise the input shaft. now fixed..
on the drivers side of the adapter 1 bolthole does not line up with the bellhousing its half a hole out, needs to be plugged & redrilled to be used ..
mine is using a hilux box which uses the same bellhousing but the adapter needed more machining in the centre to fit the lux box..

after all that the release bearing carrier wiil not work with the adapter because there is not enough length on the front of the box to operate the clutch without the bearing carrier falling off..

the adapter was organised through somebody on another forum & he has been very helpfull , but i do not have the details of the supplier in tassie.
i dont want to spend any more money on it, thats why i'm looking at a proper bellhousing

The adaptor plates are a headfuck, plain and simple. As I said earlier in the thread, I had one from a previous supplier, and as soon as I got it I knew it was going to be a PITA for it to fit and work properly. A custom bellhousing is the better option IMHO, as a few people have done it, it's just so easy to get info on how and what was done. Plus a custom bellhousing looks cleaner if that bothers you, no stuffing around, it's almost just plug and play. And IMHO the extra size of the gze flywheel, and therefore larger clutch size, does make a difference.

When you work it out on paper, a custom bellhousing isn't that much more expensive than an adaptor plate kit. Each to their own anyway.

    Update of the update.

I've been in touch with Brendan from Niteparts, he's pretty busy at the moment getting the castings made up, but he reckons they should be only a few weeks away, so I'm expecting them early December.

We've had a few more people ask to jump in on the group buy, so here's an updated list:

    1. Me, BigWorm deposit recieved ---ADL
    2. Takai deposit recieved ----------ADL
    3. Rex deposit recieved ------------ADL
    4. SLO-055 deposit recieved -------TAS
    5. « RČ» Blinky awaiting deposit ----TAS
    6. thu187 deposit recieved --------NSW
    7. Cuzzo deposit recieved ---------NSW
    8. PuGZoR deposit recieved --------QLD
    9. Drew deposit recieved----------QLD
    10. ChuckLandwehr deposit recieved ACT
    11. PHS deposit recieved -----------WA

How do you like my colouring skillzor?

I've rearranged the list & added everyones state, as Chuck made a good point about duty & GST if the there all being sent together, as there's approx $5500 worth of stuff there, we'll either be charged GST or the package will have to marked at under $1000, then if it's lost we'll only be cobered for $1000. So instead it'll be best to have a single package sent to each state, which Brendan is able to do.
Can the people in Tas, Qld & NSW get together & work out who is to recieve & who's going to have to pick theirs up?
