Hey, I have never played with RA40 round headlight before and I am doing the opposite changing a square headlight to a round headlight. Dont ask!!!

I have both cars side by side and ripped off the front guards, bonnet, headlights, bumpers and grille. Guess what, you cannot swap them over because the front radiator support panels are completely different. Meaning that the headlights, bonnet latch and grille have totally different mounting points and the round headlight is set further back. BUGGER

To do what I want, I will be swapping over this panel as well. PITA

In doing this I will have a spare set of guards, bonnet etc for square headlight if anyone needs some.

Yeah I was afraid of that hehe, glad you clarified that as I'm doing the same conversion, Square to round headlight model. I planned on swapping that panel over if it's an issue.

I know that the square headlight panels fit on the round headlight model though, the headlights just sit far back and actually look pretty mean! A guy on Classic-Celica.com has done it.

You'd probably be better off going to scrap yards near you then purchasing from us "interstaters", would be cheaper. =)

haha yeah i will try and find a ra40 at the scappers but they are usually pretty difficult, i have tried it before might see if i can find it on classic celica cause i really want the bonnet without the lip and the only oher thing i could do would be to cut the original one and i dont really want to do that :S.

so i should be ok to get a hold of the ra40 LHS RHS panels and bonnet and they will bolt straight onto mine without any issue, except perhaps the bonnet lock but i have bonnet pins so it wouldn't be a big issue for me to relocate it
