does it have 2 threads tapped in the pulley? might have to use a puller
I'm trying to change the cam belt in my ae92 levin gtz. I have everything off down to the cam drive pulley and can't get it off, nor can I get the key out
Any tips? It's currently soaking in wd40, and hasn't budged with any combination on vice grips, screwdrivers, and even a small amount of heat. I wouldn't normally nother, but I need to replace the front main seal.
Thanks
Ben
P.S. This is the cars first new cam belt. 150,000 km... But the broken belt is why I picked it up so cheap

I wish I was so lucky... But 23 years has locked it in pretty damn well

Before you put the new one on, smear the crank and inside of the new pulley with a bit of nickel based anti-seize, It'll never stick again.
I'm almost ready to throw in the towel and pray that my front main doesn't leak. Borrowing a small 3 prong puller tonight. It appears that the factory left indents 120° apart for this purpose.
Can the pulley be pulled over the key, or does the key absolutely have to come out first?
The pulley slides over the key.
