hello everyone,

I'm in the middle of the conversion at the moment, trying to fit a 1jz into AE71,

I have seen some member on this forum who had did the exactly conversion already, but there wasn't a lot reference regarding about how they actually modify the engine to fit into the engine bay,

so my question is how to do it? I have spoke to people on this forum, they said to drop the crossmember by at least 20mm and then fabricate the engine's mount to fit the crossmember.

but so far the oil sump is right in the way and the steering rack is blocking the way as well,

friend on mine sent me this photo ages ago he saw at the JDMST meet,

just wondering if anyone know this car? plate number XVL 247
Could you please intro me to this guy as I'm really keen to know how he did it, and taking a look at his car,





or if anyone else has done it before, could you please give me a bit of advice on how this can be done?
