    Really? I always think footage of my laps look painfully slow - seems so much quicker in the moment... But that could be because I'm slow.

    Depends where you place the camera........ high vantage point = slow, low vantage point = fast. Seeing things move (like an inboard shot with steering and gearchanges) helps give it perspective too, otherwise its a bit like a 2D game view

    it does always seem to happen pretty quick. Maybe I would feel the same if I watched some footage of myself.
