Most likely it's air bubbles running through your heater tap/core that you can hear.
Hey all. Ive got an 1989 corolla sedan. its got a 4a-f in it. its been running fine since i got it, but since yesterday, when i start it up. there seems to be a trickling noise coming from the passenger side of the engine bay. it sounds pretty close to the firewall. It only lasts 5seconds or so. anyone got any ideas of what it could be? the car is running fine and the temp is also normal.

jack up the front with the engine going and heater on. let the air out of the system and top up should get rid of it! lol my rolla used to do it all the time.

My girlfriends AE82 and my AE71 do this too, I've never worried about it. Should I?
no, not unless your car is over heatingOriginally Posted by stahlz_ae86
dont worry about jacking it up, just park it on a hill and let the engine run with radiator cap off![]()
and make sure the hill isnt far away and you dont burn yourself.Originally Posted by peedman
Sounds like air ,bleed your cooling system of air and then see if it returns .
yeh mine's done it since i changed the coolant about 2 weeks ago, easy fix...
I just turned the car on, heater at full blast and topped the coolant up a bit more and it's fine now![]()
